Fort Collins Collision Repair is here to help. We provide a broad array of services to keep your car running and looking like new. Our certified technicians specialize in auto body, hail dent, suspension system, and auto mechanical repair. With us on the job, you’re guaranteed top-quality automotive services that will benefit you in the long run.
How We Started
Nick Zenzen, our former CEO and owner, opened Fort Collins Collision Repair in 1995 after working on cars since he was a teenager. His love of cars started at a young age with a mother who was a racecar driver. He started working on cars because he wanted to have access to an elegant car that he wasn’t able to afford otherwise.
Fort Collins Collision Repair was bought by our new CEO and owner, Josh, in 2017. Since then, he’s been working with our team of professionals who are dedicated to helping car owners with their auto body, suspension, auto mechanical, and hail dent repair needs.
Meet the Team
Here’s our team of experts committed to providing you with exemplary services:
Josh has been into cars and trucks his whole life. After leaving store management at a big box home improvement store, he purchased MTO Suspension and Fabrication, where his team installed aftermarket accessories and built off-road vehicles. In 2009, he brought MTO to the Fort Collins Collision Repair family and added to the services provided. After years as an auto body technician, Josh moved into managing the shop. In 2017, he purchased Fort Collins Collision Repair from Nick Zenzen and became the owner. In his spare time, Josh enjoys everything outdoors, from sand dunes and forest trails to snowmobiling and wake sports on the lake.
CJ started in the auto body world as a paint prepper while attending school. He moved over to FCCR, looking for more challenge and diversification in his work. After a few years, CJ decided he wanted to serve his country in the military and joined the army and became a parachute rigger. He spent a year deployed in Afghanistan in this role—and when he came back, he decided he wanted to do more in auto body. He moved into being a body technician while he was fulfilling his obligation with the army as a reservist. After being discharged from the army, CJ took on a new challenge again and began writing estimates and managing parts. His dedication and hard work earned him the production manager position in 2022. In his spare time, CJ enjoys playing in Magic: The Gathering Tournaments all over the country.
Steph came to FCCR from the veterinary world, where she worked at several vet clinics in the area. She wanted a new challenge and was a perfect fit. Steph has great attention to detail and a passion for making sure things are right. She always puts the clients first and goes above and beyond at all interactions, making sure that insurance companies are doing their part and trying to make the repair process as simple as possible. Steph loves animals and is an accomplished horse rider. She has three horses, four dogs, a mini pig, and a bunch of chickens. She loves country life.
Dave has been painting cars for over 35 years. As a veteran in the business, he worked everywhere, from mom-and-pop shops to large, high-volume body shops. When the painting position opened up at FCCR, Dave jumped at the chance to be able to do high-quality work without the pressure of pushing out cars as fast as possible. His expertise and skill in all things that have to do with refinishing cars are unmatched. He has a passion for what he does and takes pride in every single job he finishes, from painting a small mirror cap to providing complete paint jobs. Dave enjoys riding dirt bikes, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Luis had a long career in manufacturing, and after being laid off from his management role, he decided he wanted a change in his life. He attended AIMS community college, where he graduated from the collision program and earned himself several awards in the process. New to the auto body world, Luis jumped right in as a paint prepper. He shares Dave's focus on the details and passion for the finished product. Together, Luis and Dave make an unstoppable force in auto body refinishing and have nicknamed themselves the "G-Unit."
William started his working career framing houses. After seeing what his brother-in-law did, he decided that cars were a passion of his. Doing bodywork for 35 years, William is as skilled as they come. He started with FCCR in the beginning, and after working at a few other shops, he decided FCCR was his home. He has an attention to detail and an eye for damages and repairs like no other. His skill with metalwork and panel replacements makes him one of the best. William also takes time to help train and assist other technicians and aid in the growth of the company as a whole. He enjoys working on his custom motorcycle and enjoys his time with his new granddaughter.
George is one of FCCR's newest employees. He worked at a body shop that was bought out by a large corporation. After managing that location for a few years, George decided that he no longer wanted to deal with the pressures of turning out as much work as possible to make numbers look good. After going to a few smaller shops in Northern Colorado, George landed at FCCR. He has been a perfect addition to our team, as he has a great work ethic and cares about the work he turns out. George is extremely skilled in all aspects of auto body repair and also takes great pride in his work. In his spare time, he competes professionally at Rock Crawling. He has a long line of corporate sponsors and looks forward to the competition season every year.
Mike comes from a long history in the automotive repair world. He started as a Volkswagen technician with the local Volkswagen dealer, where he worked for 15 years. After a long period, Mike decided he wanted a change and went to work for several different independent repair shops, where he managed the technicians. A long-time customer of MTO Suspension and avid off-road enthusiast, Mike was the first call when FCCR needed another technician. He actually always wanted to be in auto body and jumped at the opportunity. Since then, he has been an outstanding technician and has developed his auto body skills to go hand in hand with his mechanical knowledge and ability. Mike is an avid bowler and can be found playing in multiple leagues all over Northern Colorado.
Thomas started his working career at FCCR as a detailer. After several years of detailing, he decided he wanted to have some outdoor adventure. He went to Alaska and was a fishing guide. When he returned, he took a job with a paintless dent repair company and traveled the nation chasing hail storms and perfecting his craft as a PDR tech. After many years of being on the road, Thomas decided he wanted to stay planted somewhere so he could be with his family. FCCR welcomed Thomas back as its in-house PDR tech and worked him right into auto body work as well. While PDR is his specialty, he has developed great skills in all aspects of auto body repair and is a huge asset to the team. Thomas enjoys hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors in his off time.
Vanessa came to FCCR after working at her previous job, which involved cleaning houses. She has a passion for her craft and enjoys being the last stop in the repair process. Vanessa has an amazing work ethic and great attention to detail. She is a big part of the final product in the process of the auto repair and is always getting comments from clients about how impressed they are with how clean and good their vehicle looks. Vanessa has three kids that she supports and manages the detail department at FCCR and does both with great care and attention. She just so happens to be Will's daughter-in-law.
Will is the newest team to FCCR. Coming from New Mexico and being new to the area, Will was looking for a place to call home. Having detailed cars at an auto dealership in the past, he felt that FCCR was the place for him. Will has settled in very well and has become a valuable member of the team.
